Generating Creative Ideas
Welcome to Module 3!
Now that you know about different types of events, it’s time to get creative! In this module, we’re going to brainstorm and come up with amazing ideas for your event. This is where you get to use your imagination and think of all the fun things you could do. Don’t worry if your ideas seem a little wild—sometimes the best events come from the most unexpected ideas!
Where Do Ideas Come From?
Ideas can come from anywhere! Here are some places to look for inspiration:
- Your Hobbies and Interests: What do you love to do? Whether it’s playing sports, drawing, or reading, your hobbies can inspire great event ideas. For example, if you love music, maybe you could plan a talent show or a mini-concert.
- Past Events: Think about events you’ve attended before. What did you like about them? What would you change? Use your experiences to help shape your own event.
- Everyday Life: Sometimes, the best ideas come from the things you see every day. Maybe you noticed how much fun everyone had at recess—could that inspire a sports day or a playground party? Or maybe you saw a cool art project online—could you turn that into a craft workshop?
- Imagination: Don’t be afraid to dream big! Even if your idea seems impossible, write it down. You never know how you might be able to make it work.
Activity 1: Inspiration Hunt
Take a look around your room, school, or neighborhood. What do you see that inspires you? Maybe it’s a picture, a game, or something you’ve read. Write down any event ideas that come to mind in your Event Idea Journal. Remember, no idea is too small or too big—just get it down on paper!
