Kids Business Fair

We decided to make participation in the Kids Business Fair, as in all OC Kids Expo events, absolutely free so as not to take money from children who are taking their first steps in leadership, business, or other activities. However, we will be happy to accept donations from parents and partners who wish to support the Kids Business Fair or other event activities.

About the Fair

The Kids Business Fair will be hosted during the OC Kids Expo on November 1, 2025, at Great Park in Irvine, CA, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can learn more about the OC Kids Expo program and driving directions here: https://kids2025.com/expo/

This one-day market inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneur and gives young participants the chance to showcase and sell their own products or services.

Participation

• Up to 20 businesses will be accepted.
• Children may apply individually or as a group of up to three participants.
• Each business must submit one online application that includes all team members.

• Parents may help children fill out the application, but children should contribute as much as possible.

Business Ideas

• Duplicate ideas are allowed (for example, more than one cupcake business).
• Later applicants will be notified if a similar idea has already been submitted.

Booth Setup

• Outdoor tented event with booths.
• Each business will have an 8-foot table shared with one other business, full-cover tenting, and 1–2 chairs.
• Tablecloths are not provided.
• Electricity is not available.

Rules During the Fair

• The fair is designed to give children hands-on experience in running a business.
• Children must handle setup, customer interaction, and sales.
• Parents of younger children may sit in the booth but cannot sell or promote products.
• If a parent is found selling or promoting a child’s product or service, the business will be disqualified.
